If it's summer then bring along your favourite winter jacket and scarf for a completely different look.

For group or family shots, avoid patterns and florals that may conflict.

Choose plain colours in a similar tone to provide variety and interest. To achieve a family portrait that will be a focal point of you home, consider choosing outfits in colours that will compliment your home decor.

Props can help to capture each individual's unique personality.

Bring along any items that are personal to you and your family. For example, boys love to bring in much-loved guitars and skateboards, wear a favourite band shirt or prized shoes. The girls look gorgeous in dance outfits, Dad's footy jumper or mum's high heels.
